COVID-19 Guidelines & Travel Restrictions

The state of New Mexico is committed to mitigating the spread of COVID-19 by:

  • Strongly advising self-isolation for persons traveling into New Mexico from high-risk states. This applies to guests travelling by plane, bus, or private vehicle.
  • Visitors and residents are asked to comply with the state’s masking and distancing guidelines while in New Mexico — in addition, there may be local guidelines and requirements that will be posted on-site at the Main Lodge.

What We're Doing

At Omega Retreat, we take your health and safety seriously. In addition to local and statewide protocols, we’re taking steps to prevent exposure to guests. Frontline COVID Healthcare Workers are high-risk and at extreme danger of being exposed to the coronavirus due to the high number of patients they care for daily. Before each guest arrives, we do our part to keep them safe — here’s how:

  1. Surfaces in our Main Lodge are cleaned daily with detergent & disinfectant to reduce germs and contaminants — reducing the risk of infection from surfaces.
  2. Private cabins are cleaned and disinfected between guest arrivals. To minimize risk to staff, housekeeping will enter cabins only after checkout. Towels and linens may be dropped off at the Main Lodge.
  3. Shared spaces may be cleaned more frequently in the following conditions:
    • High transmission of COVID-19 locally
    • Low number of guests wearing masks
    • High number of at-risk guests (adults over age 45, those with systemic health problems)
    • Staff is notified of a sick person, or COVID-19 positive result from a guest who has visited within the past 24 hours

Our Cleaning Protocols

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure — and to that affect, Omega Retreat takes every precaution to ensure your stay with us is a safe one. We accomplish this by adhering to CDC guidelines:

  • High-touch surfaces (kiosks, pens, counters, doorknobs, rails, toilets, etc…) are cleaned at least once a day.
  • Frequent cleaning when spaces are occupied by young children and guests who choose not to wear masks.
  • Maintain availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) for staff and guests.
  • Training staff on proper cleaning and disinfecting procedures and products.
  • Washing linens and towels in the warmest appropriate setting and drying completely.
  • Washing hands after cleaning or handling dirty laundry.
  • Guests are asked to reschedule their stay with us if they are experiencing fever, cough, sneezing, loss of smell, fatigue, shortness of breath, headache, sore throat, congestion or diarrhea. Should you experience any of these symptoms during your stay at Omega Retreat, please notify a staff member so that we may take precautions.
